About Us

CATANI SPORTHORSES

We are a family run business, that breeds, trains and trades high quality show jumpers. Our philosophy is to grow our business and enhance social well-being without harming the environment. This means treating horses and people with respect and taking lean approach for energy, waste and materials. We use just what we need and nothing more. We try to redesign, reuse, repair or recycle everything.

Located, in the heart of equestrian Europe, the Netherlands, we are easy to reach from around the world. Please contact us when you are looking for yourself a top equine partner for sport or want to collaborate with us on training or trading.

We work small-scale and are proud owners of all our horses. For us the horses are our partners, without them we really are nothing. When buying a foal or a young horse, we follow one simple principle. Sport is our passion. We choose horses that we personally believe, will be great athletes and our best companions for sport. We do shows almost every week-end, so follow our Instagram where we try to post all the latest videos.

Our Horses

The Finnish Warm Blood is a hidden gem from the arctic north. Finland, where the winter is fierce and where the sun never goes to sleep in summer, provides a beautiful and pure environment to breed high quality, strong and healthy horses. Even though our competition horses are stabled in the Netherlands, our roots are very deep in the ground of the Finnish soil.

We breed or buy 1-3 foals per year. We invest in strong mother lines and treat every foal as individual, giving each of them the time and attention they need.

Our top Grand Prix mare Ruby B Z (Rubert R-Cuby Z-Cordano) has given us four beautiful merrie foals, by Aganix du Seigneur, Taloubet Z, Solid Gold and Classic Orange. Ruby is the foundation mare of our breeding line Lilja. Our goal for the future is to present many good quality horses from our Lilja-line.
